The Cactutu is a monster based on the cactus. "Cactutu" is derived from "cactus", the plant it is based on.
Biology[]
The Cactutu is a plant-like rooted green monster. It's spiked head is attached to its similarly spiked, limbless body. It has a single flower as its "mouth" with a dark green streak above it. Cactutus usually reach 0.5 meters tall.
Large groups of Cactutu can be found all over deserts. Its roots dig deep into the ground to find water for sustenance.
Behavior and abilities[]
Cactutus are immobile, and do not attack unless heavily provoked. They spend most of their day standing still, and their night in a sort-of sleeping state.
Cactutus can perform the following.
Spike shoot. The Cactutu's flower slides up a few inches to expose its mouth. The Cactutu than shoots a fast-moving barb from its mouth.
Thornskin. The Cactutu is protected by a skin of spikes that deter enemies from attacking it up close. Its spikes regenerate extremely quikly.
Pain kill. An extremely rare ability of the Cactutu, the Cactutu's flower slides up a few inches to expose its mouth. The Cactutu than shoots a special long barb from its mouth. The being it hits develop a pain-killing complex that allows it to shrug off most physical and magical attacks for a few hours.
